5 Point New Believers
Session 6:
Generosity
In the Old Testament, the eleven tribes with property gave on tenth of all their crops to provide for the one tribe (Levi) that had no property so they could care for the Temple Worship full-time. This was called a “tithe.” In the New Testament (Acts), believers lived together and shared everything in common. In some cases, they gave all their houses and property and materials to the apostles for the church body. Today the church doesn’t have a Temple, nor do we live in communes, but the spirit of giving should live on in every believer.
